Muzaffarabad, 25th September 2024: A detailed meeting was held at the King Abdullah Campus of the University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir (UOAJK) with Heads of Departments (HODs) to engage M.Phil. and Ph.D. scholars in research initiatives aimed at the conservation of natural resources within this protected region. Dr. Nuzhat Shafi, Chairperson of the Department of Zoology, hosted the session, which was attended by key figures, including Mr. Yousaf Qureshi, NRM expert of the project, Dr. Abdul Rauf, Director ORIC at UOAJK, and Dr. Nazneen Habib, Chairperson of the Department of Sociology, along with faculty members from other allied departments.
Mr. Ashiq Ahmed Khan, advisor on Natural Resource Management (NRM) for the ongoing project in Pir Chinasi, Muzaffarabad, led Taaleem Foundation’s team.
Quetta, October 2: In a pivotal move to transform the city’s public services, Commissioner Quetta Division and Administrator of Metropolitan Corporation, Hamza Shafqaat, led a high-profile meeting aimed at outsourcing the Quetta Metropolitan Corporation’s girls’ school and Basic Health Units (BHUs). The meeting gathered influential figures, including Taaleem Foundation Chairman Dr. Zafar Qadir, CEO Asim Mushtaq, Chief of Metropolitan Corporation Attaullah Baloch, and other senior officials.
The focus was on revamping the Fatima Jinnah Girls School on Godat Singh Road and five BHUs through a public-private partnership. This strategic shift aims to deliver top-tier education and healthcare services while reducing the Metropolitan Corporation’s financial burden. By handing over management to the private sector, the initiative promises to improve the standard of schooling and health facilities for the community.
Captain (R) Mir Baz Khan Marri, a distinguished alumnus of Taaleem Foundation Grammar School Kohlu, has assumed the charge of Deputy Commissioner of Mastung. By virtue of this position, he would chair the School Syndicate of TF Grammar School, Mastung. With his leadership skills honed through years of service and dedication, he now embarks on a new chapter in serving the people of Mastung.
His journey from a student at TF Grammar School Kohlu to a leader in public service is a testament to the strength of character, education, and perseverance. Captain Mir Baz’s appointment stands as an inspiring example for current students, showcasing the heights that can be achieved with hard work and commitment.
